2015 Leaf Collection Program Status Update

The City of Brighton is very pleased to announce that their refuse collection contractor, Waste Management, has offered City residents an option to place a larger volume of recyclable items to the curb every week.

Please be advised that the City of Brighton’s contractor will be repainting the yellow curbs on Main Street, from the railroad tracks to East Street, in the City of Brighton on Saturday and Sunday mornings, May 23rd and May 24, 2014 beginning at 12 am.

Please note that the City of Brighton’s trash collection will be delayed by one day due to the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday.

Potholes &  Stormwater Catchbasins  maintenance information

The City Council Worksession scheduled for Thursday, March 26 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at Brighton City Hall, has been cancelled

Because of the very cold temperatures we have continued to experience, there is a possibility that water pipes can freeze and cause pipes to burst.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Brighton City Council will be accepting applications from residents who would be interested in an appointment to the Officer’s Compensation Commission.

Due to forecasts that are predicting extreme Wind Chill conditions & very low temperatures of below Zero tonight (02/12/15) and the next few nights including Valentine's Day weekend :  the City of Brighton Police Department encourages all Brighton area citizens to be on the lookout for anyone in need of emergency care / assistance.

The City of Brighton’s trash collection will be delayed by one day due to the winter storm that all of Southeastern Michigan experienced.
