CITY OF BRIGHTON
CITY COUNCIL MEETING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING MAP
 
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Brighton City Council will conduct a Public Hearing on November 2, 2017 at 7:30 pm in the City Council Chambers, 200 N. First Street, Brighton, MI.  
 
The City Council will hold a Public Hearing to consider the following amendment:
 
  • An ordinance to amend the Code of the City of Brighton by amending the Zoning Map as described in Section 98-27 of Chapter 98, Article II, thereof.
 
City Council will be holding this Public Hearing for a request to rezone one parcel currently zoned R-4 (Medium Density Multiple Family) to R-3 (Low Density Multiple Family), located at 333. N. Fourth Street.
 
The rezoning is being requested in order to facilitate the re-development of the parcel into a residential duplex dwelling.


The legal description is as follows:
SEC. 30 T2N, R6E, SMITH & MC PHERSON ADDITION LOT 137
 
A copy of the proposed amendment and rezoning request is available for viewing at City Hall.
 
ALL CONCERNED CITIZENS are encouraged to be present at this meeting to express their opinion on this matter, as public input is an important element in the Council’s deliberations.  Furthermore, a Council decision on this matter is likely at this meeting.

ORDINANCE NO. 580
 
 
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF BRIGHTON BY AMENDING THE ZONING MAP DESCRIBED IN SECTION 98-27 OF CHAPTER 98, ARTICLE II, THEREOF.
 
The City of Brighton ordains that:
 
I.          The real property described below and commonly known as 333 N. Fourth Street is hereby rezoned to R-3 (Low Density Multiple Family).
 
Legal Description:
 
SEC. 30 T2N, R6E, SMITH & MC PHERSON ADDITION LOT 137
 
This Ordinance shall take full force and effect fifteen (15) days from the date of
adoption, pursuant to the City Charter.
