City Manager Overview
Nate GeinzerThe City of Brighton is a Council-Manager form of government, which is one of the most prevalent forms of government used by more cities, villages, townships, and counties, than any other form. It is a representative system of local government that combines the strong political leadership of elected officials (the governing body) with the strong managerial experience of an appointed, professionally trained, local government manager to oversee the delivery of public services. 

Appointed to the Brighton City Manager's position by the Brighton City Council in February 2016, City Manager Nate Geinzer is responsible for the day to day administration of the City, including the oversight of all City Departments and the implementation of City Council's adopted vision and goal statements

Manager Geinzer has been a resident of the City of Brighton since 2004 and takes pride in his position and community. He works closely with his Management Team to deliver responsive and high-quality services to the residents, businesses, and visitors of the City of Brighton. One of his top goals is to continue working with City Council on developing a fully-funded and sustainable fiscal and service delivery model that promotes proactive investment in infrastructure and other capital, while maintaining/improving City services, to ensure the long-term viability of the City's quality of life.

Manager Geinzer enjoys giving back to the community through his involvement with the Brighton Rotary, serving on the Brighton Rotary Foundation Board, and volunteering with Bountiful Harvest. Outside of work Manager Geinzer enjoys spending time with his wife and children and fly-fishing.
