Direct payment is available for City water and sewer utility bills.
- Call the utility billing clerk at 810-227-0179 for details or questions.
- Copies of household utility bills automatically deducted from checking or savings accounts will still be sent for your records.
Credit Card Payment (Utilities and Property Taxes)

In-Person
As always, property tax and utility payments can be paid in person at City Hall by credit card, electronic check, cash, or check. For your convenience the City of Brighton has installed a Payment Drop Box on the Exterior of City Hall, located to the right of the double doors front entrance of City Hall. You may use this Drop Box at anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to drop off your tax, utility bill or miscellaneous payments. Please include your return address on the return envelope and your remittance form in the return envelope. Postmarks are NOT accepted as the payment date for tax payments. Current taxes may be paid at any Brighton branch of Flagstar Bank, Old National or 1st National of Howell Bank.
Go Paperless!
The City of Brighton encourages all residents to go paperless. Each bi-monthly billing statement will be emailed as an attachment. There will be no need to log into an account. This option is only available by emailing the Utility Billing Department or by calling 810-227-0179.
